Public Lighthouse Tour
For the first time in more than 120 years, Greens Ledge Lighthouse will be open for public tours! Learn about Greens Ledge, the restoration and more while getting an up close look at a working lighthouse.
Cruises to the lighthouse will be held on the Aquarium’s research vessel, Spirit of the Sound – the first in the nation with quiet hybrid-electric propulsion. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 and fully-restored in 2022, Greens Ledge Lighthouse is one of the only active lighthouses in the world offering full-access interior and exterior tours. ( Length: 3 hours)
The tours will depart from The Maritime Aquarium. Guests should arrive 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled tour.
Stay tuned for upcoming dates!
Passengers must be at least 42-inches tall and wear sturdy, close-toed shoes. Sandals and flip-flops are not permitted at the lighthouse, where guests will be walking up and down steep stairways.
